The UT-OSPO joins the Open Forum for AI as a Founding Member. The Open Forum for AI (OFAI) provides holistic, objective expert advice regarding AI, particularly related to research, policy recommendations, methods for deploying and sharing AI models more openly, and community engagement. The overarching vision is that AI should augment human capability rather than replace it; that AI development operates optimally when human centered. The UT-OSPO will focus efforts on how to engage researchers in creating AI models that are reproducible and sharable to promote science and scholarship.
